Yiwu in Jinhua, Zhejiang province has been recognized as the top county-level city in China in terms of comprehensive exhibition industry strength, according to the recently released 2023 China Exhibition Data Statistics Report.

The top five cities in this ranking are Yiwu, Kunshan, Nan'an, Changshu, and Haining.

The report, published by the China Convention and Exhibition Economic Research Association, is a leading industry publication focused on exhibition industry statistics and research in China. It evaluated the comprehensive development index of the exhibition industry in various cities for the year 2023 using a unified KPI accounting method based on 15 dimensions of exhibition statistics.

Yiwu has in recent years been actively fostering vertical exhibitions in niche industries and attracting high-quality organizations to host exhibitions in the city. This has led to the emergence of top industry events such as the Frame Art Expo, Artificial Flowers Expo, and Stationery & Gifts Expo.

The city has already hosted 22 trade exhibitions and cultivated seven new exhibitions in sectors such as eyewear, accessories, and electronics this year.
