Yili Group, a dairy company based in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, won an award for its blood donations, according to an announcement released by a working group on voluntary blood donations in Inner Mongolia recently.

Yili established a blood donation volunteer team in 2007, the first in Inner Mongolia.

Members of the team donate blood during times of urgent need. Over the years, the team has donated blood to thousands of people.

According to Yili, its employees across the countryhave donated over 2,400 liters of blood since 2007.

The company was recognized for its contributions to public health in 2013 by the National Health Commission and the Red Cross Society of China.
