Mustang taming competition kicks off in Hohhot

A total of 25 teams participated in the International Mustang Taming Competition held in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 25.
The competition is an important part of the 2nd China Horse Culture Festival, as well as the 1st Inner Mongolia International Horse Culture Expo, and it was participated in by 25 teams from places such as Russia's Republic of Buryatia, Mongolia, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Inner Mongolia.
The competition is a team event, and each team includes a horse lassoer, two tamers, and a rider.
The lassoer first hitches a wild horse with a long wooden lassoing pole and chases it around to wear it down. The tamers and rider then work together to tame the horse.
The Abga Banner team emerged victorious after some fierce competitions.
