Sweet success, as strawberries boost income growth in Hohhot
Happy residents pick strawberries in a greenhouse located in Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Nov 27. The greenhouse is part of the Wulanbatu Fruit and Vegetable Plantation Park which covers an area of 0.25 square kilometers. Strawberries grown in a greenhouse in the park appear fresh and juicy, on Nov 27. The park, which operates under the auspices of the local government, adopts a model under which science and technology experts give on-site demonstrations and instructions on fruit and vegetable planting. It is now focusing on strawberry cultivation to extend its activities and diversify its production and operations.
