Hohhot marks Winter Solstice with events
Children learn how to make dumplings in Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Dec 22, in an activity that is part of celebrations for the Winter Solstice. The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Winter Solstice is the 22nd solar term of the year and fell on Dec 22 this year.
