Hohhot to add region’s first bilingual school
Horinger New Area in Hohhot, capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to add a bilingual school after joining hands with Maple Leaf Educational Systems, according to a news conference held on Dec 30.
The Maple Leaf Bilingual School – Horinger New Area, located in an international education park in the area, will mark the first bilingual school in the autonomous region.
Maple Leaf Educational Systems will be responsible for school’s operation and management.
The bilingual school will have five sections: a kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school and schools for international students. A total of 4,550 students can be enrolled.
Currently, preparations for the school project are progressing smoothly, officials said. Enrollment will start in September.
