Key targets set as Hohhot Municipal People's Congress opens

Zhang Baicheng, acting mayor of Hohhot, delivers a speech on the Hohhot government work report, on April 22. The report was divided into three parts: the 2019 work review, the 2020 work arrangement and plans for the comprehensive improvement of government governance capabilities. The main expected goals for economic and social development in 2020 are regional GDP growth increasing by about 6 percent, the surveyed unemployment rate in urban areas standing at 5.5 percent, registered unemployment rate being less than 4.5 percent, consumer price increasing by 3.5 percent and the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents growth rate being not lower than the economic growth rate.
