A half marathon held in Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on June 6, drew citywide participation, according to local media reports.

The event, hosted by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Sports Federation, was part of a fitness program running on June 6-10.

On the basis of strict implementation of novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control, the activity adopted a combination of online and offline modes.

With the employment of livestreaming on online platforms and offline recording of videos, the event managed to avoid crowds gathering to the greatest extent and promoted residents’ awareness of fitness, to boot.
