Hohhot plots path for its development as a smart city

A delegation of officials from Hohhot -- capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- visited Hangzhou in East China’s Zhejiang province on July 5, on a fact-finding mission to learn about it smart city construction, according to a report in the Hohhot Daily.
The delegation visited the digital city management of Hangzhou, the comprehensive renovation and upgrading project of the old residential community in Chaoming street and the Hangzhou Brain Operation Command Center.

Hohhot officials said they hoped that the two cities will strengthen their exchanges and cooperation in the digital economy and urban upgrades to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
They said that Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang province, had made remarkable achievements in the digital economy and its digital governance city development in recent years.

As one of the first 10 pilot cities for digital urban management confirmed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Hangzhou has undergone 15 years of development in the digital urban management.
Officials said it has evolved from a single platform to multiple platforms and from urban management to urban governance.
They added that it has formed the "Hangzhou Model" of digital urban management.
