Hohhot in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region held the third Innovative Qingcheng Academician Forum on Aug 22, inviting 30 academicians and experts from various industries, according to local media reports.

The forum involved academic speeches, shared the latest research results, and promoted cooperation among various industries, universities and research centers. The event focused on areas including the transformation of resource advantages, general health and new diagnosis and treatment technologies, ecological and cultural integration, unique composite material applications, smart networks, healthy cities and energy storage technology.

Six project agreements were signed during the forum, involving modern agriculture and animal husbandry, smart community construction and energy trade. All will be settled in Xincheng district’s Hohhot Science and Technology City.

In recent years, relying on the construction and development of Hohhot Science and Technology City, Xincheng district has increased cooperation with high-tech enterprises and offered preferential policies to technological innovation-oriented industries.

At present, 254 technology and innovation companies such as Huawei, Inspur, and Tsinghua Tongfang have settled in Hohhot Science and Technology City, attracting more than 10,000 innovative talents.

Since 2018, Hohhot has successfully held three sessions of the Innovative Qingcheng Academician Forum, providing crucial intellectual support and scientific and technological support for Hohhot's high-quality economic development.
