The New Generation Industrial Internet and New Smart City Construction Conference opened in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Nov 14.
The conference, which was attended by Inner Mongolia officials, industry leaders and experts, included fruitful discussions on issues such as how the new generation of the industrial internet, smart cities, new infrastructure, and the digital economy can help Hohhot's economic transformation and upgrading and high-quality development.
Relying on the two core areas of Horinger New Area and Hohhot Science and Technology City, Hohhot has formed a development pattern of "two industrial parks, three data centers, and a batch of big data applications".
Three major operators - China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom - have established the largest cloud computing data center bases in Horinger, attracting enterprises including Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, Inspur and Sinopec, as well as the data storage business of national ministries.
Hohhot city has formed a complete industry chain, integrating big data technology research and development, server manufacturing, data storage, supercomputing and various applications.
The conference also held two parallel meetings: the 5G New Infrastructure and Industrial Internet Facilities Application Construction Conference and the City Brain and Big Data Center Construction Conference.
In addition, the Hohhot municipal government and the China Association of Trade in Services signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement.
Hohhot's Horinger New Area, Hohhot industry and information technology, big data bureau and other departments signed project cooperation agreements with 24 companies at the conference.
