Hohhot signs framework agreement on emergency rescue joint cooperation
Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to carry out joint emergency rescue operations with Baotou, Ordos and Wuhai in Inner Mongolia, and Yulin in Shaanxi province, under a framework agreement signed by the five cities on Nov 23, according to Hohhot Evening News.
The agreement will establish a more efficient emergency response system for the five cities, further improve the cities' disaster prevention, mitigation, and disaster relief capabilities, and effectively guarantee the safety of people.
The five cities will give full play to their respective advantages and work together to promote coordinated development in information exchange and resource sharing, so as to realize the timely exchange of emergency information, monitoring and early warning coordination, emergency resource sharing support, and coordinated emergency responses.
Earlier, on Sept 20, a joint conference was held to further enhance the awareness of regional coordination and cooperation in the five cities, and establish a normalized communication and coordination mechanism.
