Cooperation agreements for a total of 16 projects, including the National Dairy Innovation Center project, were signed during an investment promotion event held in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 9, according to local media reports.
The 16 projects cover four major areas - milk production bases, technological innovation, upstream and downstream businesses in the dairy industry chain, and smart city development - and include an investment exceeding 8 billion yuan ($1.24 billion).
In 2021, construction will begin on supporting facilities of six roads (including West Guochuang Street and Yongye Road), Hohhot No2 Middle School, Xincheng District No 1 Experimental Primary School, Chilechuan Hospital, and an ecological park, forming a cluster pattern of industrial development and driving the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
