Hohhot records sizable increase in small, micro enterprises
As of 2020, Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has 288,440 small- and micro-sized enterprises, an increase of 18.15 percent over the same period last year according to the city's market supervision bureau.
Since 2020, the Hohhot market supervision bureau has been promoting high-quality development of private enterprises and helping the private economy become the main force in the city's economic development.
The bureau coordinated with various departments to clean up 476 policy documents that hinder a unified market and fair competition and create a fair competition environment for enterprises.
It actively promoted the self-declaration system of corporate standards. There are 2,464 standards covering 3,449 products in 392 companies that have publicly declared corporate product standards, with private enterprises accounting for 90 percent.
In 2020, five regional-level intellectual property superior enterprises were added.
In addition, the bureau carried out intellectual property pledge financing work to help enterprises facing financial difficulties affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.
As of the end of December 2020, a total of 15 registrations of pledges of trademark exclusive rights have been accepted, involving 132 pledged registered trademarks, and the amount of secured claims is 187.62 million yuan ($29.14 million), which has effectively promoted commercialization of intellectual property rights and broadened corporate financing channels.
