Hohhot wins 2 national tourism awards

Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, received the "China's Most Characteristic Cultural Tourism City" and "China's Most Beautiful Rural Leisure Tourism Destination" awards at the 2021 China Outstanding Tourism Brand Promotion Summit held in East China's Qingdao on Sept 18.
Hohhot won the honors due to is Zhaojun Cultural Festival and Naobao village, a traditional village located in Hohhot boasting garden-style pavilions, waterfalls and a misty lake.
At the summit, Hohhot officials gave a detailed introduction to Hohhot's cultural tourist attractions.

In recent years, Hohhot has developed eco-tourism and developed into a regional leisure and holiday center.
It is striving to create a cultural tourism landscape centered around the Chilechuan Grassland in the north and the Laoniuwan Yellow River Grand Canyon landscape in the south, and continuously promotes the integration of the cultural and tourism industries.
The city has also built more cultural industry bases such as the Huayi Brothers Chilechuan Star Theater and Matouqin Grassland Cultural Industrial Park.
