Hohhot customs promotes 'single window' services
Hohhot customs in Inner Mongolia autonomous region fully applied the international trade "single window" to cross-border trade affairs this year.
At the window, enterprises can receive one-stop services on 739 items, such as goods declaration, taxation and fees payment and enterprise qualification application.
Using China Electronic Port, the window established an information sharing mechanism with dozens of departments, including the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Central Administration on Customs and State Administration on Market Regulation. The applicants are required to submit electronic information at the window, saving them time and money on customs clearance.
"The system becomes more robust this year. We can check information online without having to print anything out at customs. This helps enterprises improve clearance efficiency and save on costs," said Ma Yujie from Baotou Dinglitong International Freight Forwarding Co Ltd.
To better promote the application of the "single window" system, Hohhot Customs strengthened policy promotion and training and provided customs clearance services to more than 2,000 enterprises this year. It also provided consultations more than 1,000 times through online and offline channels. At the same time, 14 pieces of advice on system optimization were collected to help improve the system.
