Chinese dairy giant Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group, or Yili – based in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has recorded significant progress in its quality management, winning the prestigious ARE-QP Award. 

It represents one of the highest awards for quality management in Asia. Judging focuses on the core technology of a company's quality management and how the enterprise meets the needs of consumers in the process of quality management.

With efforts made in quality control and management, Yili was granted the 19th China Quality Award in 2021. The China Quality Award is the highest honor in terms of quality that is awarded to enterprises for their excellence in management and outstanding achievements in product quality, the economy and in benefiting society.

In the product inspection process, Yili's quality control personnel must use at least three different inspection conditions for each project test, to ensure accurate control and improve the details of each inspection method.

In the product development process, in order to obtain a new product formula, technicians study a large number of documents, analyze data and formulate improvement plans.

Yili is said to be continuing its efforts to open up new markets, to meet the new needs of global consumers.

The group currently has 15 R&D innovation centers and 75 production bases around the world. Its liquid milk, milk powder, yogurt, cheese, cold drinks and other products are sold in more than 60 countries and regions.
