Commissioning of Hohhot's new company injects momentum into semiconductor manufacturing
The commissioning ceremony for CSSC Peric Specialty Gases (Hohhot) Co, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSSC (Handan) Peric Specialty Gases Co under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), was held on Jan 18 in Togtoh county, Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The commencement of operations marks a significant step toward the realization of a self-reliant and secure supply chain in China's semiconductor electronic specialty gases industry and the industrialization of electronic specialty gases, which are regarded as the "lifeblood" of the semiconductor industry due to their critical role in semiconductor manufacturing.
The mayor of Hohhot and the deputy manager of CSSC both attended the event.
CSSC (Handan) Peric Specialty Gases Co is deeply engaged in the electronic specialty gases field, advancing the localization of previously unavailable products. It aims to become a global leader in electronic specialty gases and currently produces over 60 types of such gases, including nitrogen trifluoride (NF₃), which won it the National Manufacturing Single Champion award.
Following the commencement of operations, CSSC Peric Specialty Gases (Hohhot) Co will have an annual production capacity of 7,500 metric tons of high-purity nitrogen trifluoride, 10,000 tons of ultra-pure ammonia, and 75,000 tons of liquid nitrogen. It is expected to significantly boost local economic development.
