Yili tops dairy industry in Brand Finance's 2025 list

Brand Finance, the internationally renowned brand valuation consultancy, recently released its Top 500 Most Valuable Chinese Brands of 2025. Yili Group once again ranked No 1 in China's dairy industry, maintaining its leading position for consecutive years.

The ranking is based on key indicators such as financial performance and consumer perception, and is widely recognized for its professionalism and independence.

According to the latest financial report, Yili achieved total revenue of 115.78 billion yuan ($16.06 billion) in 2024, maintaining its position as Asia's top dairy company. Yili's net profit reached 11.54 billion yuan, up 12.2 percent year-on-year. In the first quarter of 2025, the company reported revenue of 33.02 billion yuan, a 1.35 percent increase, and a net profit attributable to shareholders (excluding non-recurring items) of 4.63 billion yuan, representing a 24.19 percent year-over-year increase.

Yili has also established 15 innovation centers worldwide, continuously bringing together global talent to drive product innovation. In 2024, new products accounted for over 15 percent of total revenue, receiving strong market acclaim.

Among its new offerings, Yili introduced products targeting segmented health needs such as gut health, blood sugar control, and energy balance. One standout product, Shuhua Lactose-Free Milk with hericium erinaceus, achieved nearly 300 percent sales growth within just three months of its launch.

Yili has also made a breakthrough in the field of advanced dairy processing by developing a targeted lactoferrin protection technology, increasing the retention rate of lactoferrin in ambient temperature milk from 10 percent to over 90 percent.
