Yili tops global dairy rankings in Kantar BrandZ's global brand value report

The 2025 Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands ranking was released on May 15, with Yili Group once again securing its position as the world's No 1 dairy brand.

The BrandZ rankings, published by global brand data and analytics firm Kantar, measure the "brand value" of companies by combining financial performances with consumer perceptions.

According to Yili's latest financial report, the company achieved a total operating revenue of 115.78 billion yuan ($16.05 billion) in 2024, with a net profit of 11.54 billion yuan – a year-on-year increase of 12.2 percent. In the first quarter of 2025, Yili reported revenue of 33.02 billion yuan, up 1.35 percent year-on-year.

Yili continues to embed itself deeply into consumers' lives through diversified innovation, building an ecosystem driven by market demand. In 2024, revenue from new products accounted for over 15 percent of total sales. The brand has consistently impressed the market with innovations in taste, functional nutrition, and consumer experience.

Popular new launches such as its lemon juice light milk drink, extra rich milk, lactose-free milk, and red ginseng milk powder have been widely praised by consumers.

In Kantar Worldpanel's 2024 Brand Footprint report, Yili also ranked No 1 on the "Top 10 Brands Most Chosen by Chinese Consumers" list, based on brand penetration, consumer reach, and purchase frequency.
