Yili deepens sustainability partnership with Bureau Veritas
Bureau Veritas CEO Hinda Gharbi visited Yili Group for a strategic dialogue on advancing sustainability across the dairy industry on May 27. The visit follows Yili's recent WISH2030 Forum and the launch of its Sustainable Social Value Ecosystem, marking another key step forward in expanding global partnerships for green development.
During the meeting, Xu Ke, vice president of Yili, awarded Hinda Gharbi an appointment as expert advisor to the Inner Mongolia Dairy Sub-Center of the National Carbon Measurement Center, highlighting Yili's recognition of Bureau Veritas' expertise in sustainable development.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on low-carbon transformation. They reviewed successful collaborations in carbon footprint verification and looked ahead to new synergies in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) performance, digitalization, and waste management.
Since 2016, Yili and Bureau Veritas have built a comprehensive carbon management framework, including dual carbon and water footprint reduction initiatives. Yili has established five zero-carbon factories, introduced six zero-carbon products, and leads a 154-member zero-carbon alliance to support decarbonization across its supply chain.
