Digital technology lights up cultural expo in Hohhot
The 9th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Cultural Industry Expo Fair was held from July 17 to 21 in Hohhot, with the theme "Creating a Smart and Cultural Expo in North China".
The fair attracted more than 500 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, as well as 25 provinces, regions, and cities across the country, and established nine exhibition areas to showcase the transformation of cultural experiences enabled by digital technology.
The cultural and technological-themed exhibition area, the core sector, gathered leading enterprises such as SenseTime and iFlytek, as well as local companies, to showcase new digital products. SenseTime presented its AI-powered Chess SenseRobot, which supports multiple games through its visual recognition technology and mass-produced robotic arm. Designed for home use, it has also received authoritative certification.
Shanghai Hi-Dolphin Robot Technology's COFE+Robot Coffee Pavilion can produce over 50 types of drinks in 50 seconds and is the first of its kind to appear in Inner Mongolia. The brand, which now exports to more than 40 countries, attracted the attention of various local institutions.
Inner Mongolia enterprises also blend technology with North China culture. For example, Hohhot's robot dogs dance to music, and its 3D fitting mirrors can be used to try on ethnic costumes. Alshaa's VR experience simulates a rocket launch, while Ordos' "Smell Movie" allows viewers to perceive the smell of a film simultaneously.

In addition, the cultural resource database of the "Impression of Northern Chinese Cultural Heritage" exhibition area, linked to the museum, intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and university data, aims to revitalize cultural heritage through technology. The fair, which held multiple activities, has become a barometer for the development of the local cultural industry.
