According to the Hohhot bureau of industry and information technology, Hohhot has been actively promoting the use of BeiDou technology across 14 key sectors, including transportation, public security, and agriculture and animal husbandry.

In the transportation sector, BeiDou's high-precision positioning technology has been applied to shared bikes and commercial vehicles, improving the city's smart management capabilities. In public security, BeiDou-enabled devices such as police communication terminals and body cameras have been deployed to enhance urban safety and law enforcement efficiency.

In agriculture and animal husbandry, BeiDou-based upgrades for agricultural machinery terminals are accelerating the development of smart farming. In the communications sector, BeiDou timing systems are being introduced to unify base station time synchronization. In industrial manufacturing, efforts are underway to promote the production of BeiDou-enabled smart IoT gateways and positioning modules.

Moving forward, Hohhot will deepen cooperation with research institutions and enterprises to further explore the integration potential of BeiDou applications across industries.
