During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Hohhot received a total of 4.57 million visits, more than any other city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
This year, the General's Office Museum completed a comprehensive upgrade, including everything from hardware to services, in an effort to become a 4A-level national tourist attraction. The museum will continue focusing on service quality improvement, social innovation, and culture, collaborating with other scenic spots to develop more culture and tourism projects.
Hohhot has established a "One Institute + Six Museums + One Park" culture and tourism system, bringing places like the Zhaojun Museum under unified management and forming a popular studying and touring base. On the International Museum Day on May 18 in 2025, the Hohhot Museum launched 13 themed exhibitions and introduced external exhibitions, allowing citizens to enjoy nationwide scenery without leaving Hohhot.

Hohhot has also developed a "One Corridor + Two Axes + Five Belts" culture and tourism layout. The newly-built Aobao Park in the east has become popular among locals and tourists, receiving about 2,000 visits daily. Five wooden walkways, totaling over 2,000 meters, connect attractions like the Chilechuan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The Chilechuan Tourist Resort Service Center will plant different flowers each month of 2026. The Chilechuan Grassland Music Festival has become a grand celebration for music fans nationwide, allowing visitors to experience history amidst audiovisual splendor. Hohhot also offers tourism projects for all seasons.

Thirteen dedicated bus lines have opened, connecting major scenic spots, and the city has also launched a series of measures benefiting the public, improving parks, and easing traffic congestion.
Data from multiple online platforms showed a significant rise in Hohhot's culture and tourism consumption.
