The Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone (Hohhot ETDZ) is experiencing rapid growth, with significant progress made in project construction, enterprise innovation, and investment cooperation. By optimizing the business environment, promoting technological innovation, and accelerating industrial upgrading, Hohhot ETDZ is achieving sustained high-quality development.

Inner Mongolia Sojo Saidu Electric Co began operations in June 2024, taking only 13 months from signing to production. Its intelligent photovoltaic brackets now dominate markets in several provinces across China.

Hohhot ETDZ is continuing to improve its business environment by offering efficient services such as full-process agency, extending service hours, and addressing accommodation issues for enterprise talent.

Infrastructure development is accelerating, with plans for 105 major projects in 2025, totaling an investment of 61.38 billion yuan ($8.63 billion), and an annual planned investment of 10.71 billion yuan.

By September, Hohhot ETDZ had recommended 80 technology projects for various levels of approval, with 20 established, securing 44 million yuan in special funds from higher authorities. The zone hosts 10 leading technology companies and has added 26 new high-tech enterprises. In September, Hohhot awarded 23.5 million yuan in technological innovation incentives to enterprises.

Hohhot ETDZ has formed industrial clusters in fields such as new energy equipment manufacturing and biomedicine, with work on multiple major projects advancing. Investment attraction has been effective, with agreements on 45 new projects signed, each worth over 100 million yuan, and a total agreed investment of 27.746 billion yuan.
