Saihan offers healthcare benefits and convenient services
Saihan district is continuing to enhance the convenience of its healthcare services, strengthening offline service networks while expanding online service channels.
As Hohhot's first designated electronic prescription transfer platform by the healthcare department, the internet hospital prescription transfer platform at Saihan District Hospital has changed the previous reliance on external experts for electronic prescriptions in pharmacies. Now, the entire process from consultation and prescription to review is completed online by local experts, achieving localization, specialization, and standardization of prescription sources.
At the Saihan District Hospital Internet Hospital, anesthesiology attending physician surnamed Wei demonstrated the prescription review process to reporters: doctors review prescriptions online to ensure that medication matches the diagnosis. Once approved, the prescription is transferred to the pharmacy. Since it started officially operating in May 2025, the platform has signed service agreements with 938 pharmacies and issued or reviewed 400,000 prescriptions, processing over 4,000 orders daily on average.
The hospital has also launched a home delivery service for medications. Patients can purchase medications online through a mini-program and directly use medical insurance for payment, allowing elderly and mobility-impaired patients to access medications without leaving their homes.
While expanding services, Saihan district also prioritizes the safety of healthcare funds by advancing the development of the city's first scenario-based intelligent fund supervision platform. To date, 311 pharmacies and 54 community health service stations in Saihan district have connected to the platform, significantly improving the precision and efficiency of healthcare fund supervision and further standardizing medical service practices. Since 2025 alone, over 800 designated medical institutions have been inspected and more than 600 non-compliant institutions have been dealt with.
Saihan district will continue to consolidate the achievements of universal insurance coverage, continuously optimize service experiences, explore the establishment of specialized services such as a rare disease health management center, and strengthen departmental collaboration and talent development.
