This exhibition showcases 100 exquisite stone lion artworks spanning from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Republic of China (1912-1949). Each piece carries profound historical and cultural significance.

These stone lions exemplify the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient artisans and serve as significant cultural symbols, representing both the heritage of the Grand Canal and the ancient lion culture.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the Xicheng district cultural and tourism bureau in Beijing, the Cangzhou Yunhe district cultural and tourism bureau in Hebei province, and the culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism bureaus in Tongzhou and Qidong.
As a cultural exchange activity, this exhibition promotes cultural interactions among cities along the Grand Canal. It plays a positive role in spreading ancient Chinese stone lion art and promoting the Grand Canal culture.
