Shexian county breaks ground at 10 major projects in Q3

Shexian county – administered by the prefecture-level city of Huangshan in Anhui province – recently broke ground at a raft of major projects that will cost nearly half a billion dollars.

Construction work on 10 key projects – involving total investment of 2.97 billion yuan ($445.5 million) – kicked off on July 14. They cover areas such as strategic emerging industries, the upgrading of traditional industries, infrastructure and transportation.

In addition, seven projects – including a Sinochem International Corporation production center and Shexian Beian School – signed up to settle in the county at the ceremony, with a total contract value of 3.87 billion yuan.

"Shexian has prioritized the construction of the projects and expects to promptly engage with the investors and attract more projects to settle there," said Wu Zhiping, deputy Party secretary of Shexian county.

"The operators of the projects should meet high standards in quality, safety and efficiency," Wu added.

Shexian plans to optimize its services and focus on its stated targets to promote the region's high-quality development.
