There are the exquisite carvings in Fangwentaizhai House, where the four forms of Huizhou carvings – brick carving, stone carving, wood carving and bamboo carving – are present. One of the earliest sets of brick structures – the Sijiandi buildings – date back to the Ming Dynasty. They, together with the Wu Jianhua House, feature construction techniques from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).
