The Qiankou Folk House, also known as Zixia Mountain Villa, is an entrancing complex of ancient buildings located on a hill in Qiankou town in Huizhou district. The designs there epitomize Huizhou folk houses in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

The complex boasts a variety of ancient structures in various styles – with a grand houses, bridges and memorial gates.
There are the exquisite carvings in Fangwentaizhai House, where the four forms of Huizhou carvings – brick carving, stone carving, wood carving and bamboo carving – are present. One of the earliest sets of brick structures – the Sijiandi buildings – date back to the Ming Dynasty. They, together with the Wu Jianhua House, feature construction techniques from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).
