With approach of the autumn equinox, a traditional Chinese solar term, which falls on Friday this year, residents of Huangshan, Anhui province, are putting their agricultural produce in the sun to dry, creating splendid autumn views.
For farmers, the solar term signifies both the joy of a bumper harvest and a sign of cultivation.
Huangshan has an abundance of ancient villages and tourism attractions.
The Huangshan government plans to launch a seasonal campaign to promote the city's autumn attractions to the world early next week.
