As a stone in Huangshan Mountain looks much like a Chinese calligraphy brush pen, it was named Mengbishenghua, or Brush Pen Peak in honor of an ancient story.
The story about a man named Ji Shaoyu, who was not talented but worked very hard. His sincerity moved the god of literature. One night, when he fell asleep reading a book, he dreamed that a famous scholar gave him a brush pen and said that with it he could write the most beautiful articles. When he woke up, he spied an unusual brush pen. After that, Ji made great progress in his writing and eventually became a famous writer.
