The seventh "1+6" Round Table Dialogue is being held on Dec 8-9 in Huangshan city – located in Anhui province – where top government officials and heads of major international economic organizations are currently gathered for in-depth discussions.
Under the theme of "Strengthening Multilateral Cooperation for Global Common Development", the participants are discussing issues including building an open world economy. They are also talking about boosting global economic recovery and growth and China's commitment to energizing the world economy through deepening reform and its opening up.
Among the dignitaries attending are David Malpass, president of the World Bank Group; Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund; Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director-general of the World Trade Organization or WTO; Gilbert Houngbo, director-general of the International Labour Organization; Mathias Cormann, secretary-general of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and Klaas Knot, chairman of the Financial Stability Board.
