Yixian county in Huangshan city, Anhui province presided over a signing ceremony on Jan 29 for a slew of major projects involving a total investment of 4.36 billion yuan ($649.16 million).
A total of 14 projects signed up. There were five digital cultural and creative projects, three intelligent manufacturing projects, three green food industry projects, two health projects and a new materials and flexible packaging industry project.
Of these, the Chunguangli capital and financial delta industrial base cluster project will invest 3 billion yuan to build a comprehensive demonstration area for leisure and vacation agriculture and cultural tourism.
The demonstration area will cover the headquarters economy, creative meta-universe, the digital community and other comprehensive business.
"We will do our best to create a better business environment, issue favorable policies and offer attentive services to promote the construction of each signed project," said a local official at the ceremony.
Plans are for Yixian county to sign up more than 55 new projects in the current year and realize an increase of over 15 percent in domestic capital in place.
