Huangshan hangs lanterns for upcoming Lantern Festival

Major scenic spots in Huangshan city, Anhui province have geared up for the fast-approaching Lantern Festival, which is observed on the 15th day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar and which falls on Feb 5 this year.

Here are some highlights that you shouldn't miss out on:

Guessing Lantern Riddles in Liyang-in Lane

National 4A-rated attraction Liyang-in Lane – located in the Tunxi district of Huangshan city – is set to hold Lantern Riddles guessing activities on Feb 5.

Festive lantern show in Hongcun village

Hongcun village – a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site in Yixian county, Huangshan city – will stage marvelous lantern shows on Feb 4-5.

Romantic floating river lanterns in Hongcun village

It's a festive tradition for folks in Hongcun village – a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site in Yixian county, Huangshan city – to put a light or a candle in a lamp stand and float it on rivers at night. This year, it will take place in the village on Feb 4.
