A project signing ceremony was held on March 21 in the Huangshan High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Huangshan city, in Anhui province.
It celebrated the agreement by Nanjing-based Ecar Electrical Technology Co Ltd to build a plant in the zone that on completion will manufacture 1,000 sets of electric vehicle intelligent power exchange equipment annually.
With a total investment of 580 million yuan ($84.77 million), the planned factory will be on a site covering 45 mu (3 hectares).
Manufacturing facilities such as flexible battery PACK assembly lines and multi-pulse power transformer test platforms will also be introduced.
On completion, the plant is expected to generate annual sales of more than 1 billion yuan.
At the ceremony, the project manager praised the Huangshan High-tech Industry Development Zone's business environment, adding that they would fully promote the construction of the project and strive to build a smart energy demonstration park.
Plans are afoot for the zone to provide more effective and efficient services, so as to ensure the project's steady progress.
