Tips for spending the May Day holiday in Huangshan Mountain

As the five-day May Day holiday is around the corner, here are some tips for tourists to better explore Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area in Huangshan city, Anhui province.

Opening hours of Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area

April 29, May 3: 6:30-17:30

April 30-May 2: 6:00-18:00

Operating hours of interchange vehicles

April 29 and May 3: 6:10-17:10 (upward), 18:10 (downward)

April 30-May 2: 5:40-17:40 (upward), 18:40 (downward)

Operating hours of Yungu Ropeway, Yuping Ropeway and Taiping Ropeway

April 29, May 3: 6:30-17:40

April 30-May 2: 6:00-18:10

Attention: Online reservation for admission is a must.

Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area continues to implement a real-name reservation system. Please reserve your tickets at least one day in advance on the official platform of Huangshan Tourism, Alipay or WeChat, and enter the park according to the reservation time and direction.

For those who have not made a reservation, please book a time to enter the scenic area at a later date or visit the surrounding attractions.

Also, the south and north gates of Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area will be open for visitors to enter through. Lianhua Peak and Xihai Grand Canyon will also be open, however Tiandu Peak will be closed as these attractions are available to the public on a rotating basis.

Quick fact:

Towering as high as 1,800 meters and covering 1,200 square kilometers, the haunting beauty of Huangshan Mountain has enthralled visitors and artists for many centuries with its pine trees, jagged rocks, seas of clouds, and bevy of hot springs. It was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List of cultural and natural sites in 1990.
