Santan loquats are a locally grown fruit in Shexian county, which is located in Huangshan city of Anhui province.

This fruit is a popular choice for consumers due to its large size, thin skin, and delicious taste. Santan loquats also ripen early in the summer season, giving them a head start in the market.

Santan loquats are named after the three villages that cultivate it: Zhangtan village, Miantan village, and Yuetan village, all located along the picturesque Xin'an River.

Currently, all the Santan loquats in the 15,000 mu (1,000 hectares) cultivation area have ripened and are ready for harvest.
