A group of 13 investors – from the Yangtze River Delta region, the Pearl River Delta region, Beijing and Tianjin cities, as well as Hebei province – gathered on May 28 in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province.
They were there to discuss the development of Huangshan city in Anhui, after they took part in the opening ceremony of the Invest in Anhui campaign.
During the meeting, Hong Qinghua, the chairman of Lvmama, an online travel agency, proposed three suggestions for Huangshan city's development. He said there was a need for top-level design and leadership for tourism, the breaking of administrative boundaries, as well as the promotion of innovation and collaboration. Working together these would create a world-class leisure and resort destination.
According to Ding Zuohong, the chairman of furniture retailer Yuexing Group, Huangshan city is not only the backyard of the Yangtze River Delta region, but is also an international meeting hub.
Ding emphasized that Huangshan's development should be combined with the beauty and elegance of the city, especially its profound humanistic heritage and environmental advantages.
Likewise, Hu Shaoping, the chairman of Bluetown Group, an influential domestic real estate developer, suggested that Huangshan's development should be combined with the current stage of development of the culture and sports industries – focusing on high-end consumer demand and characteristics, innovative consumption scenarios and an efficient industry ecosystem.
