Huangshan city in Anhui province, Zhoushan city in Zhejiang province, Qufu city in Shandong province, Jincheng city in Shanxi province and the Palace Museum all collaborated on a promotional event in the national capital of Beijing on June 30.
The event aimed to promote Chinese culture and tell Chinese stories to the world through government promotions, enterprise leadership, sci-tech empowerment and market integration.
The event featured a special format where participants could engage in online immersive cultural experiences and on-site check-ins at designated stations.
In his speech, local official Ye Jianqiang highlighted the importance of carrying forwards the city's culture and promoting cultural innovation.
Ye said that Huangshan would uphold its culture, preserve its historical foundations, motivate its industrial growth with exponential creativity and innovation, infuse new vitality into the city and present local and rich Huizhou culture on a global scale.
Huangshan city is committed to combining technology and culture, promoting Huizhou culture and presenting fresh interpretations of traditional culture using digital technology.
