Train G55331 departed Huangshan North Railway Station on Oct 26 – traveling along the Nanchang-Jingdezhen-Huangshan High-Speed Railway towards Fuliang East Railway Station, to conduct preliminary runs and tests.

This marked the transition of the railway to the trial operations phase, with the countdown beginning to the full line's opening.

With this development, Huangshan city in East China's Anhui province welcomes its third high-speed railway, filling the previous gap of zero access to high-speed rail for its Qimen and Yixian counties.

The Nanchang-Jingdezhen-Huangshan High-Speed Railway starts in Nanchang – known as the City of Heroes in South Central China's Jiangxi province – and passes through key areas in the province like Jingdezhen city, which produces high-quality porcelain.

Then it runs through Anhui province's Qimen county, Yixian county and finally reaches Huangshan city.

The impressive rail network stretches over 300 kilometers and is designed for a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, with a total of 11 stations – including Qimen South, Yixian East and Huangshan North.

Once fully operational, it will connect Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Poyang Lake National Nature Reserve, Xidi and Hongcun villages – the latter two ancient villages in Anhui province inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List – and the breathtaking Huangshan Scenic Area.

The new connection is expected to boost tourism and regional economic development along the railway line.
