The 2023 Innovative Huangshan Development Conference on Nov 14-15 took center stage in the Tunxi district of Huangshan city – located in East China's Anhui province – with major ideas discussed and key projects signed.

In addition to showcasing the city's latest developments, the conference pledged to inject new momentum for transforming Huangshan into a leading leisure and tourism hub with an international reputation.
One of the highlights during the event was the unveiling of the Huangshan Urban Development Opportunities List. The initiative marks the city's maiden attempt to translate market trends and demand into tangible opportunities for businesses, fostering high-quality investment and developmental strides.
Overall, some 79 projects were signed during the conference, involving total investment of more than 22 billion yuan ($3.03 billion). Signatory enterprises included two Fortune Global 500 companies, three Chinese Fortune 500 companies, three listed corporations, five State-owned enterprises and two leading local enterprises.
Most notably, the signed projects span nine emerging industries within the city – including new energy vehicles, green packaging, artificial intelligence and the preservation of Huizhou-style architecture. Huizhou refers to the ancient name of Huangshan city.
