The Shexian Economic Development Zone – situated in Huangshan city in East China's Anhui province – recently announced the recognition of 27 of its enterprises on the list of the first national batch of high-tech enterprises for 2023.
The landmark achievement has propelled the total number of high-tech enterprises based in the zone to 100.
Of these, Anhui Yingchuang Technology Co Ltd stands out as a great example, specializing in the research, development, production and sales of computer software and hardware. With an annual investment topping 8 million yuan ($1.12 million) in R&D, the company holds 10 invention patents and 28 utility model patents, solidifying its position in the market for smart display terminals.
Its success is attributed to efforts made by the zone to prioritize the cultivation of high-tech enterprises as a linchpin in its innovation-driven development strategy.
For instance, it conducts on-site visits to understand the development status and technological needs of each of its businesses. Additionally, the zone has implemented a gradient cultivation mechanism, starting from technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises to high-tech enterprises – providing effective guidance throughout the entire process.
According to statistics, from January to October of this year, the 100 high-tech enterprises in the zone generated a formidable output value of 86.9 billion yuan. This performance was said to underscore the zone's commitment to being a regional hub for innovation, technology and economic growth.
