Huangshan city in East China's Anhui province organized a series of talent recruitment events that took place on Dec 21 and 22 in Guangzhou, the capital city of South China's Guangdong province.

The goal of the events was to foster cultural exchanges and drive collaboration between the two cities in sectors such as economy, education, culture and tourism.

The first event took place at Jinan University on Dec 21. Huangshan city has already formed partnerships with multiple universities, including Jinan University, and paved the way for the establishment of a "talent hub" in the Pearl River Delta region. Future plans include the creation of a talent cooperation center and the introduction of a range of favorable policies for settlement, housing and healthcare to attract talent in the region.

On Dec 22, the "Ancient Huizhou: 72-Hour Adventure" cultural and tourism promotion event and the "Welcoming Pine Cup” entrepreneurship talent carnival were held at Sun Yat-sen University.

The longstanding collaboration between Huangshan city and Sun Yat-sen University was highlighted during these events. The cooperation focuses on the "United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Sustainable Tourism Observatory", one of the 21 locations in the world that are committed to the regular and timely measurement of tourism at the destination level. Over the past decade, nearly 300 faculty and students from Sun Yat-sen University's School of Tourism have participated in this initiative.

Meanwhile, as part of Huangshan city's cultural and talent exchange events, a special recruitment fair for Sun Yat-sen University was held. Thirty-five companies participated in the event and offered employment opportunities.
