This 288-kilometer stretch, designed for speeds up to 350 kilometers per hour, will connect 10 stations, including key cities like Huangshan, Jingdezhen and Nanchang.
The project, spanning Hangzhou in Zhejiang province to Nanchang in Jiangxi province, traverses challenging landscapes, including rivers and karst formations, covering 37 kilometers of karst terrain. Since construction began in October 2018, the railway prioritized ecological considerations and green development principles.
The newly operational section is expected to bolster tourism in the region, offering a world-class route through picturesque landscapes. To ensure seamless connectivity, the railway department plans to operate up to 32 sets of multiple unit trains daily during the initial phase.
Furthermore, passengers can anticipate a range of travel options, as the railway department implements flexible discounts and a market-based fare system between stations. This approach aims to cater to diverse passenger needs, enhancing the overall travel experience for those utilizing this modern and eco-friendly transportation corridor.
