In a dazzling dawn spectacle, the Huangshan Scenic Area – located in Huangshan city in East China's Anhui province – welcomed in the year 2024 with clear skies and a sunrise celebration at its summit.

The day continued with a dignified flag-raising ceremony at 8:58 am, held at the city's West Sea Square. The flag guards, marching in an exact formation, proudly raised the five-star red flag while the national anthem was played. Visitors and staff members of the scenic areas stood at attention, observing the moving occasion.

Adding a cultural touch to the day, the scenic area hosted various traditional activities like rice cake making, the calligraphy of Fu – or good fortune in English – as well as paper-cutting, sachet crafting and tying blessings ribbons. These allowed visitors to savor the breathtaking scenery of Huangshan while immersing themselves in the holiday spirit.
With a total of 42,500 visitors during the New Year's Day holiday, the Huangshan Scenic Area benefited from meticulous planning, efficient management and a commitment to providing high-quality services.
Staff members from various departments remained steadfast in their duties – ensuring a safe, orderly and memorable start to the year for all.
