Huangshan is intensifying its efforts to establish the Greater Huangshan Scenic Area as a world-class leisure and wellness tourism destination, encompassing Huangshan, Chizhou, Anqing, and Xuancheng.
Recent major activities underscore Huangshan's commitment. On April 26, the Chizhou-Huangshan high-speed railway commenced operations, with a promotional event for Greater Huangshan taking place, followed by a project advancement meeting in Tunxi on April 28.

The tourism-oriented development initiative marks a crucial strategic move by Anhui's provincial government to enhance tourism and foster high-quality development. This initiative leverages Huangshan's premier tourism resources and improved transportation infrastructure, particularly the new high-speed railway, to strengthen connections with the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area.
Focusing on coordinated regional development, Huangshan aims to create a comprehensive cultural and tourism industry chain. The city plans to develop connected and themed tourism trips, integrating natural landscapes, ancient villages, and vibrant night-time activities to boost tourism and related industries sustainably.

To enhance tourism quality over quantity, Huangshan has reduced daily visitor limits to improve the experience, resulting in high satisfaction rates. Last year, Huangshan and its key attractions welcomed over 8.3 million visitors, generating substantial revenue growth.
The city has been expanding its tourism development projects, including international resort areas and cultural tourism lines. With significant investments in these projects, Huangshan aims to become a leading global tourism destination.
