The Sankeshu Scenic Area in Rucun village, Xiuning county, has transformed from a hidden community to a popular vacation destination. Nestled between Yixian district and Huizhou district, and just a short drive from Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area, the area boasts stunning natural beauty and strategic accessibility.
The area's popularity began to rise in 2016 with the introduction of a trendy guesthouse, called Mosu Xiangju, simply made of 46 custom-designed container units. Officially opened in 2019, the Mosu Xiangju offers a multifunctional space for lodging, tourism, high-end meetings, and dining, promoting a natural lifestyle. By 2023, its revenue exceeded 3 million yuan ($414,250).

In May 2023, the Lantian Café project opened, quickly becoming a hit. This was part of a broader strategy initiated by a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Huangshan Xunpu Cultural Tourism Co Ltd. The focus is on integrating landscape, scene, and emotion, with diverse tourist experiences such as rural cafés, music festivals, and camping.
This transformation has significantly boosted the local economy. High-end homestays have spurred the growth of surrounding accommodations. Lantian town, where the scenic area is, now hosts 36 homestays, with annual revenues of 300,000 to 400,000 yuan each, and also witnesses boosting sales numbers of local agricultural products.

The scenic area is evolving into a dynamic consumption space, blending traditional charm with modern appeal. By integrating scenic beauty with innovative experiences, it offers a model for sustainable rural tourism development, turning "scenery into prospects" and "beauty into prosperity".
