On July 14, a four-day training program on ecological tourism development and management commenced in Huangshan with the participation of 23 officials from Sri Lanka's tourism and environmental sectors.
This initiative underscores the strong historical ties between China and Sri Lanka, which date back to the Ming Dynasty when Zheng He’s maritime expeditions enhanced trade and cultural exchange. Sri Lanka's tourism sector aims to attract more Chinese visitors, reflecting the growing collaboration between the two nations in tourism and cultural fields.

During their visit, the Sri Lankan delegation explored key sites, including the Huangshan Scenic Area and ancient villages, to gain insights into heritage protection, rural development, and ecological management practices.
