According to data from the Huangshan municipal bureau of industry and information technology, industrial investment in the city increased by 28.8 percent year-on-year from January to June 2024, outpacing the provincial growth rate of 10.8 percent.
Huangshan has been actively implementing the "Five Batch" strategy, which includes the expansion of existing enterprises. A total of 65 businesses achieved a production value increase of 28.9 percent, while 26 new projects were successfully launched.

Currently, 214 key industrial projects are under construction in the city, with 66 of them having investments exceeding 100 million yuan ($13.97 million), amounting to a total investment of 20.45 billion yuan. Of these, 160 projects have been documented, 72 new manufacturing projects have begun, and 29 have already been completed and put into operation. Additionally, 120 new industrial projects have been signed, with a total contractual investment of 19.4 billion yuan, including 71 projects exceeding 100 million yuan at 17.76 billion yuan.
The city is focusing on strengthening technological upgrades, with 10 projects listed in the first batch of technology transformation and equipment updating initiatives, totaling 1.29 billion yuan. Furthermore, 40 new regulated industrial enterprises have been nurtured, contributing 3.9 percentage points to the city's industrial output value growth. Huangshan has also secured 40.78 million yuan in special funds from higher authorities this year and has designated the Huizhou Economic Development Zone as a provincial digital transformation demonstration zone.
