The 5th Yangtze River Delta Integrated Ancient Town Development Conference was held on Oct 21 in Tongling city, in East China's Anhui province.
At the event, Huizhou Ancient City in Huangshan, featuring the Fish Lantern Parade, was selected as one of the "Top 10 New Cultural and Tourism Consumption Scenes in the Yangtze River Delta", while Xidi Ancient Town in Huangshan made it onto the list of the "20 Must-Visit Ancient Towns in the Yangtze River Delta".
In recent years, numerous ancient towns in the Yangtze River Delta have been leveraging their pristine environments and rich historical heritage – creatively establishing a raft of immersive, experiential and interactive tourist spots.
The Fish Lantern Parade in Huizhou Ancient City is the only cultural and tourism spot on the list in Huangshan. In recent years, Shexian county has strengthened the development of the Fish Lantern intellectual property brand and has regularly organized lantern displays in Huizhou Ancient City, attracting hordes of tourists.
